We've Been Named One of Business Insurance's Best Places to Work for 2018!

VGM Insurance Services has been named one of Business Insurance magazine’s Best Places to Work for 2018.

The annual Best Places to Work in Insurance program recognizes employers for their outstanding performance in establishing workplaces where employees can thrive, enjoy their work and help their companies grow.

“We are humbled to be recognized among the more than 1,000 Managing General Agencies (MGAs) nationwide as a Best Places to Work,” said Mike Kloos, president of VGM Insurance. “It’s a testament to our team of employee owners who foster a culture that encourages collaboration and professional growth which ensures exceptional work for our customers.”

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based Best Companies Group identified VGM Insurance following analysis of company policies, practices and demographics, as well as reviewing confidential employee surveys. This year’s report lists the agents, brokers, insurance companies and other providers with the highest levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. The 2018 program features 75 companies of various sizes, from 25 employees to more than 4,000.

“Being named to Business Insurance’s list of the Best Places to Work in Insurance for 2018 demonstrates that VGM Insurance has built a culture in which employees are supported and engaged, which benefits their customers and the employer’s financial performance,” says Business Insurance Publisher Peter Oxner.

In 2017, VGM Insurance’s parent company, VGM Group, Inc., was ranked by the Des Moines Register as the #1 employer for large companies in the state of Iowa. So, being recognized as a top employer is nothing new for VGM Insurance. This was the fifth time VGM had been ranked as a Top Employer and second time in a row in the top spot.

“We’re fortunate that our entire company is dedicated to making our customers’ needs a top priority,” mentioned Kloos. “It’s even better knowing that we appreciate each other, the work that we get to do, and the customers we have the pleasure of serving.”
