At VGM Insurance, we track our customer engagement and satisfaction every day through Net Promoter Score®. This is a measurement tool that tracks customer satisfaction by having them answer one question: How likely is it that you would recommend VGM Insurance to a friend or colleague?


How Net Promoter Score is Measured

Each time this question is asked, clients are asked to grade their experience on a range of 1-10. The higher the number, the more positive the experience.

  • Promoters (score 9-10) are loyal enthusiasts who will keep buying and refer others, fueling growth.
  • Passives (score 7-8) are satisfied but unenthusiastic customers who are vulnerable to competitive offerings.
  • Detractors (score 0-6) are unhappy customers who can damage your brand and impede growth through negative word-of-mouth.

Net Promoter Score is then calculated by subtracting the percentage of detractors from the percentage of promoters, with a possible score ranging from -100 to 100.

We are proud to tout VGM Insurance’s Net Promoter Score of 81.4%, which is considered a World-Class score across all industries, and far exceeds the insurance industry average score of 17%.
